Racial Trauma & First Episode Psychosis

In this free webinar, presenter Dr. Steven Kniffley Jr. will:

• Discuss the etiology of psychosis
• Explore the intersection between racial trauma and psychosis in BIPOC individuals
• Discuss barriers to accessing and navigating treatment for the first episode of psychosis for BIPOC individuals

Kentucky currently has nine Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) teams across the state, serving young people with or at risk of First Episode Psychosis (FEP). These teams are called iHOPE (Helping Others Pursue Excellence).

This training is made possible by Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA) funds through Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. Attendance is free.
