Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based program designed to help community members identify and assist in mental health issues that friends, family members, coworkers, or neighbors are experiencing. Updated content in 2020 includes this virtual model that has 2 hours of self-directed pre-work and then 6 hours of instructor-led Zoom training.
Updated content includes information on trauma and self-care.
Completion of this course will satisfy the Mental Health First Aid requirement for Kentucky CHW Certification, per the Kentucky Office of Community Health Workers.
