Join us for an insightful discussion at our virtual First Episode Psychosis Book Club, where we will delve into the topic of First Episode Psychosis through literature. This event is organized by Mental Health America of Kentucky to foster understanding, support, and dialogue around First Episode Psychosis.
We’ll be exploring a selection of books that shed light on First Episode Psychosis (FEP)—the initial onset of psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, or disorganized thinking. Our chosen readings offer diverse perspectives and experiences and provide insights into the challenges faced by individuals and their families during this period.
Our second book for this series is titled The First Episode of Psychosis: A Guide for Young People and Their Families by Beth Broussard and Michael T. Compton. The book will be broken up into three sections for discussion, and our club will meet on Zoom to discuss each section.
The first 29 Registrants will receive a FREE copy of the book!
Please note that only registrants who are residents or employees of Kentucky are eligible to receive a free book. However, we would love to still have you if you are from elsewhere!
The meeting and discussion schedule is as follows:
We will use the same Zoom link for each meeting. Each meeting will take place from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. EST
Haven’t read the chapters, but still want in on the discussion? Join us anyway!
We can’t wait to see you there!
