NARSAD, the Brain and Behavior Research Fund, raises money from donors around the world and invests it directly in the most promising research projects in mental health.
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is a federal agency that generates research on mental illness interventions, mental illness and public health, and the causes of mental disorders.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is a federal agency that funds demonstration programs and underwrites state mental health and addiction services.
